Healthy Eating

Universal free school meals are available for pupils in Reception and Key Stage 1, this year.

School dinners are subsidised at a cost of 50p for pupils in Key Stage 2. Meals for the week must be ordered and paid for on Monday morning.

Would parents please send in a slip clearly stating the days for which their child needs a cooked meal and place the slip and the dinner money in an envelope.

Many families are eligible for Welfare Benefits which entitle them to Free School Meals. Please see a member of the office staff if you think you may be eligible.

Children can bring a packed lunch, but we do request no glass bottles, cans or sweets be included in the lunch box. Please label the box clearly with your child’s name.

Children can go home for lunch, but must be collected by an adult and not returned before 1.10pm.

Pupils in Key Stage 1 are given a piece of fruit each morning break. We encourage the children to drink water through the school day so that they are hydrated and able to learn. We have three water fountains so the children can fill up their water bottles.
