Welcome to Gillshill Primary School

I would like to welcome you to Gillshill Primary School website and hope that the information provided on our platform gives you a flavour of what our school is like. However, visiting our school in person, will enable you to see at first hand our wonderful children and dedicated team of staff.
Our staff are always keen to show visitors around.

Gillshill Primary School is an extremely popular and highly oversubscribed school where children, staff, parents and governors have high aspirations, work happily together to achieve high academic, creative and social standards and value the important shared experiences of childhood.

In September 2017 our age range was increased so that we could provide a 39 place Nursery, EYFS1, setting to accommodate 3-4-year-old provision.

Our school is very proud of its links with the community and our open door policy.
We welcome all parents and visitors to our school to share our learning journey. We are very keen to engage with all members of our school community and pride ourselves on our positive relationships. Our children are at the heart of everything we do.

Our main aim is to provide all our pupils with a broad, balanced, well planned curriculum, developing the whole child through a range of interesting and exciting activities. Pupils will have access to a rich variety of first hand experiences and the opportunities to participate in many visits.

It is our mission to ensure that every child, who attends Gillshill Primary School, has a very exciting childhood and leaves our school with many happy memories of their wonderful experiences during their primary journey.

I do hope you find our website useful.
